The Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau serving the Snake River Region developed Integrity Counts! in 1997. The purpose is to recognize businesses in our surrounding communities for demonstrating a commitment to integrity and ethical business practices. Since the inception of the program over 630 companies have been nominated from within our communities.

The program for west Idaho businesses begins each year in early spring with a nomination process that calls out to communities from Ontario to Twin Falls, up to Sun Valley and New Meadows. In eastern Idaho and western Wyoming, the nomination process begins in mid-summer with a call for nominations from Jackson Hole to Burley and Bear Lake to Salmon and Island Park. We place nomination forms in various locations across our service area for individuals to pick up and encourage our communities to look for these forms via television PSA's and distribution through local business publications, in addition to calling the BBB or visiting our web site at www.snake-river.bbb.org

Individuals nominate companies that exemplify high ethical standards. For those nominees that would like to participate, an independent panel of volunteer judges will review the materials and determine five companies to be recipients of the Integrity Counts! business honors award.

Ultimately, Integrity Counts! closes each year with an elaborate awards banquet to honor all those companies involved with the program. It is the goal of the Better Business Bureau to recognize several companies each year for making integrity important criteria in their business. We invite you to be an active part of the program this year and in many years to come.
