There are several variations ofa fake "FBI" email making the rounds. One version, signed by “Special Agent Terry Williams,” supposedly comes from the Anti-Terrorist and Monetary Crimes Division.

American Express card holders beware! Scammers are using the credit card company's email address for a phishing scam. Consumers nationwide reported receiving fake emails informing them that their account's email address has been changed.

Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about a new twist in the ongoing BBB phishing scam. Consumers now are reporting receiving phone calls – in addition to emails – from scammers claiming to be from BBB.

An email scam using BBB's name and logo continues to proliferate. Most of the emails containe the subject line “Complaint from your customers" and have a link or attachment containing phishing malware that steals information.

Better Business Bureau is alerting consumers and businesses about a new phishing attack that resembles an e-mail confirmation claiming the recipient has filed a complaint with BBB about a business. The malicious e-mails first came to the attention of BBB on Thursday, October 15.
